Position Overview
St. Monica School, a vibrant and faith-filled Catholic school community serving just over 250 students, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher. Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
•Deliver engaging, rigorous, and standards-based math instruction for grades 6–8
•Utilize best practices in middle school mathematics, including problem-based learning, conceptual understanding, and real-world application
•Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
•Experience with Eureka Math² (Eureka Squared) curriculum is highly valued
•Incorporate technology and interactive strategies to enhance learning
Assessment & Data-Driven Practices
•Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to measure student progress
•Analyze data to inform instruction, adjust pacing, and support student growth
•Maintain accurate records and communicate progress clearly to students and families
•Collaborate with colleagues to review student data and strengthen instructional practices
Classroom Environment & Management
•Create a structured, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
•Implement current, effective classroom management strategies that promote student responsibility and engagement
•Foster a growth mindset, resilience, and confidence in mathematics
•Support all learners, including those who benefit from modified or enriched instruction
Catholic Identity & School Life
•Support and actively promote the mission and values of St. Monica School
•Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom life
•Serve as a positive role model of faith, respect, and integrity
•Participate in school Masses, prayer services, and community events
Collaboration & Communication
•Work collaboratively with faculty and administration in a team-oriented environment
•Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to support student success
•Engage in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
•Massachusetts teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred
•Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics
•Familiarity with data-driven instruction and assessment practices
•Experience with Eureka Math² curriculum a plus
