What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Cook position at St Monica Center for Rehab and Healthcare?
Welcome to St. Monica Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare! Our 180-bed facility, provides a warm and caring environment for short-term rehab patients, and long- term residents including memory care. Our team of seasoned staff work together to offer excellent service and care to each resident. As the cook, you will be responsible for preparing food for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Kitchen Staff and Duties
- Review menus prior to food preparation
- Assure that all dietary procedures are followed
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets
- Follow food production orders
- Prepare food in advance for other meals as directed
- Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations
- Follow established infection control policies
- Cook a variety of food in large quantities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MUST have experience in food preparation in a skilled nursing facility or hospital
- high school diploma or equivalent
