About Our School Located in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and canonically established by Archbishop Paul Coakley in 2025, St. Monica Catholic Academy is a newly founded Catholic classical school in Edmond, Oklahoma, opening in fall 2026. It will begin with grades PreK4 through 2nd grade, expanding one grade level annually toward a full PreK–12 program. Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and a classical liberal arts curriculum, the academy's mission centers on forming the whole person through a joyful encounter with Jesus Christ through daily Mass, a rich sacramental life, and the harmonious integration of faith, reason, and culture. Position Overview
The Aftercare Coordinator plays a vital role in extending the school’s classical and Catholic mission into the after-school hours. This position oversees a safe, structured, and enriching aftercare environment that supports students’ continued formation in character, responsibility, and community. The ideal candidate will create a calm, orderly atmosphere that reflects the school’s emphasis on beauty, order, and virtue while providing supervision, homework support, and wholesome recreational activities.
JOB SUMMARY
The After School Care Supervisor is responsible to administer the Program and supervise employees and/or students in the after school care program.
This position is required to convey the Church's message and to assist in carrying out the Church's mission. This position is required to uphold the standards of the Catholic Church in his/her day-to day work and personal life. All employees are expected to be persons of integrity and must conduct themselves in an honest and open way, free from deception or corruption and in a manner consistent with the discipline and teachings of the Catholic Church. Employees are expected to
follow rules of conduct that will protect the interests and safety of all, including the standards and policies set forth in the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct, Archdiocesan Policies and Guidelines, Parent/Student Handbook and Employee Handbook.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of and ability to use English
- Computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively

- Self-motivation and self-direction

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Follows the school’s discipline policy for students
- Maintains an orderly and safe work environment free of hazards
- Acts in a professional manner in demeanor and work habits
- Supervises after school care employees and volunteers.
- Supervises after school care students in a variety of settings (i.e., classroom, playground, library, etc.).
- Purchases supplies to include snacks and activities and submitting for reimbursement.
- Maintains accurate daily attendance of students in the Program and prepares accurate invoices for billing.
- Maintains an updated list of emergency information on students
- Maintains a variety of activities for students
- Cleans and secures the area before leaving
- Ensures only authorized people pick-up students
- Provides a safe and orderly environment, which allows students to study or play.
- Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments
- Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. classroom, playground, library, etc.) for the purpose of enforcing school rules and procedures regarding student behavior and participation and/or providing a safe, respectful and positive environment.
- Manages student behavior in a constructive manner when needed keeping with the discipline policies of the school
