We are seeking a Senior Operations Enablement Specialist to join our Operations team in Louisville, KY. This role will play a critical part in supporting operational scalability through workflow optimization, AI-enabled automation initiatives, systems enablement, and operational process improvement across the organization. Working closely with Operations Leadership, IT, and frontline teams, this position helps bridge operational needs with practical system-driven solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and long-term scalability.

Schedule & Compensation:

? Anticipated salary range: $70,000 ? $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
? Standard business-hour schedule with flexibility based on operational initiatives and project needs


Position Summary:
The Senior Operations Enablement Specialist plays a key role in enabling and scaling efficient, technology-driven pharmacy operations through system optimization, AI-enabled automation, and structured adoption of operation platforms. This role serves as the operational partner for automation initiatives and workflow design, collaborating closely with Operations Leadership, IT, and frontline teams to ensure systems and tools are implemented in a way that improves efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
This position focuses on the design and development of workflow optimization automation and automation solutions, supporting training and enablement efforts, and contributing to operational resilience through participation in business continuity and system-related contingency planning.
The Senior Operations Enablement Specialist reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations

Essential Functions:

Operations Automation & Workflow Design

  • Support evaluation and operational deployment of AI-enabled automation solutions aligned with operational priorities.
  • Analyze enterprise-wide operational workflows to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and efficiency improvement.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to evaluate, support, and enable workforce management solutions, including tools or system features that improve staffing efficiency, workload balancing, labor planning, and operational productivity through data-driven insights.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to design workflows that streamline processes, improve efficiency, reduce operational friction, and create simplicity for our customers.
  • Apply systems expertise and frontline feedback to define optimized future-state workflows.
  • Support alignment of automation initiatives with operational practicality, scalability, and compliance expectations.

Automation Deployment, Monitoring & Optimization

  • Coordinate rollout of automation solutions across operational teams in partnership with site leadership and IT.
  • Participate in testing and validation of system, automation, and workflow changes prior to deployment to support operational readiness, functionality, and data integrity.
  • Assist with maintaining post-deployment monitoring processes to assess system performance, adoption, and effectiveness.
  • Review results on a regular cadence (daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate) and recommend refinements as needed.
  • Provide hands-on operational system and workflow support as needed, including real-time troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation support during go-lives, system incidents, or periods of operational disruption.
  • Maintain documentation, ownership, and lifecycle oversight of deployed automation solutions.

Procedure Design & Operational Rollout

  • Work with Operations, IT, and functional teams to identify workflow pain points and process inefficiencies.
  • Design standardized, system-enabled workflows and operating procedures.
  • Support structured rollout of new workflows, including training, communication, and adoption support.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure consistent and sustainable implementation.

PioneerRx Systems Enablement

  • Serve as a primary operational resource for PioneerRx system enablement and user training.
  • Coordinate new user access and system setup in partnership with IT.
  • Assign and track completion of PioneerRx University training as needed.
  • Deliver initial PioneerRx onboarding training for new hires, transitioning detailed role-specific training to supervisors.
  • Support onboarding logistics including SharePoint access and required online learning modules.

STREAM Platform Enablement & Development

  • Partner with IT and Operations leadership to support ongoing enhancement and operational optimization of STREAM.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and rollout of STREAM enhancements intended to improve operational workflows.
  • Guide teams through adoption of new STREAM features and monitor operational impact.

Training, Adoption & Enablement

  • Deliver initial systems onboarding and workflow training related to PioneerRx, STREAM, and other operational platforms.
  • Conduct follow-up with employees and supervisors to identify adoption gaps and training needs.
  • Support ongoing training efforts as new automation, workflows, or system enhancements are introduced.
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and reference documentation to support consistent system use.

Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

  • Participate in Business Continuity Planning activities in partnership with IT and Operations leadership.
  • Provide operational input related to system dependencies, automation risks, and workflow contingencies.
  • Support testing and updates of system-related continuity and recovery plans.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews to identify workflow or system improvement opportunities.

Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support alignment of system configurations and workflows with regulatory, audit, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support operational review and coordination of system and workflow enhancement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and automation trends relevant to pharmacy operations and recommend enhancements.
  • Support enterprise operational priorities and initiatives as directed by Operations leadership, including special projects requiring system, workflow, or automation expertise.
  • Qualifications, Education and Experience:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician license in active status, or eligibility to obtain within three months of employment (required for accreditation and compliance purposes).
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, pharmacy support, care coordination, or patient-facing roles
  • Experience navigating insurance, prior authorizations, or healthcare systems
  • Strong understanding of healthcare or pharmacy operational workflows and process design.
  • Experience enabling system-driven workflow optimization and operational automation.
  • Working knowledge of PioneerRx and STREAM platforms.
  • Experience delivering operational training and supporting system adoption.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into system and automation requirements.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Operations and IT.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in behavioral health or specialty pharmacy settings
  • Experience supporting AI-enabled automation or bot deployment initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting business continuity or operational risk management activities.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or high-growth operational environment.
