We are seeking a part-time administrative assistant to perform administrative work for the church, such as front desk receptionist. Creates church-wide communication such as bulletins and newsletters. Manages Pastor’s calendar, room reservations, and church databases.
Job Description
Part-time position, Monday-Friday, 20-25 hours per week. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for producing weekly worship bulletins and announcements, as well as a monthly newsletter. The Assistant will work with the pastor, staff, and volunteers on other office duties as requested. Must respect matters of confidentiality and have good organizational, telephone, people, and editing skills. Must be self-motivated, friendly, and patient. Candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office software such as Word or Publisher and should be comfortable learning church software for membership data entry. Website posting and social media skills are a plus.
Candidate should be able to use a multifunction copier and printer/fax equipment. Starting salary $17 per hour, no benefits.
