Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Math Tutor to support students in grades 6–8 with foundational math concepts, homework assistance, and test preparation. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping middle school students build confidence and improve their performance in mathematics.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one and small group math tutoring for grades 6–8
- Assist students with class assignments, homework, and test prep
- Identify learning gaps and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs
- Track and report student progress to parents or program coordinators
- Collaborate with teachers and staff as needed to align on academic goals
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage good study habits and a growth mindset
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong proficiency in middle school math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry basics)
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience with youth is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in student success
- Background check required

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
