Position Summary:
Galaxy Food Centers is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Meat Cutter/Wrapper to join our team. This position is responsible for cutting, trimming, preparing, and packaging meat products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
- Cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meats to company standards
- Wrap, label, weigh, and price products accurately
- Maintain fresh, full, and visually appealing meat cases
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor product quality, rotation, and shrink control
- Assist customers with special requests and provide product knowledge
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
- Assist with inventory and stock as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous meat cutting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Knowledge of meat cuts and food safety practices
- Ability to operate meat saws, grinders, slicers, and wrapping equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
