Job Title: Elementary School Spanish Teacher – Part Time
St. Mary School in Williamstown is seeking an Elementary Spanish Teacher for students in Grades K–8. The teacher will foster a love of language learning and cultural appreciation while supporting the mission and values of the Catholic school community. This is a part time position - Tuesday through Thursday. Salary $22.00 -$28.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons.
- Introduce students to Spanish vocabulary, grammar, conversation, reading, and writing appropriate to their grade level.
- Incorporate cultural studies to promote understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and their traditions.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly; maintain accurate records of student achievement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to integrate Spanish language and cultural connections across the curriculum when possible.
- Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
- Model Catholic values in all interactions and uphold the mission and philosophy of the school.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and faith-filled classroom environment that supports student growth academically, socially, and spiritually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish (oral and written).
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a Catholic identity and promoting Gospel values in the school community.
