Duties
- Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote childhood development, including toddler care, preschool activities, and Montessori-based learning.
- Help supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom routines such as setting up materials, organizing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education techniques and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
