What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutritional Service Associate position at St. Mary's Health Care System?
As a Patient Dining Associate, you will deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner trays directly to patients admitted in the hospital. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients receive the correct meals based on their prescribed diets.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver meal trays to patient rooms for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Verify patient identity and ensure correct diet tray before delivery
Support timely and accurate meal distribution across inpatient units
Retrieve trays and maintain clean service areas
Provide respectful, compassionate service to patients
Experience in a hospital, rehab, or long-term care setting
Familiar with:
Meal tray delivery to patient rooms
Basic diet compliance awareness
Patient interaction in a healthcare setting
12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Every other weekend required
You are the final step in the nutrition process—ensuring hospitalized patients receive the right meal, at the right time, for their recovery.
