This is a full-time, on-site role located in Portland, OR, for a Director of Special Events and Director of Marketing & Communications. The candidate will oversee the planning and execution of special events, manage marketing strategies, and communication initiatives to uphold and enhance the school’s reputation. Responsibilities include event planning and production, overseeing budgets, running promotional campaigns, and fostering relationships with stakeholders to increase attendance and engagement. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event and marketing outcomes.
- Proven proficiency in Event Planning, Event Management, and Event Production
- Experience with Budgeting and financial oversight for projects
- Strong expertise in Sales and developing strategies to drive fundraising or ticket sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated knowledge in public relations and branding strategies
- Understanding of or experience with educational environments and nonprofit organizations is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field is preferred
