Responsibilities

- Support classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, and hands-on exploration.
- Help manage classroom behavior by employing positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment.
- Engage with children during activities such as toddler care, Montessori methods, or preschool routines to encourage independence and curiosity.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as directed by the lead teacher or specialists.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes effective learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections.
- Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional learning strategies.
- Support classroom management by supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and rest periods.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum development initiatives that reflect best practices in early childhood education and inclusive teaching strategies.
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or other age-appropriate curricula.
- Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities; familiarity with behavior management techniques is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
