Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development.
  • Support classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, and hands-on exploration.
  • Help manage classroom behavior by employing positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment.
  • Engage with children during activities such as toddler care, Montessori methods, or preschool routines to encourage independence and curiosity.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as directed by the lead teacher or specialists.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes effective learning experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections.
  • Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional learning strategies.
  • Support classroom management by supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and rest periods.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum development initiatives that reflect best practices in early childhood education and inclusive teaching strategies.

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or other age-appropriate curricula.
  • Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities; familiarity with behavior management techniques is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
  • Ability to assist in lesson planning across various subjects including literacy education and math fundamentals for preschoolers.
  • Classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment while managing diverse needs of students.
  • Experience working with children who require specialized care or support for behavioral or developmental challenges.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development processes tailored for early learners’ growth stages.
  • Compassionate approach to toddler care and childcare routines that prioritize safety and emotional well-being.
  • Knowledge of daycare regulations, private school standards, and best practices in early childhood education settings.
