St. Mary's Soup Kitchen Director operates the Soup Kitchen on weekdays, Monday through Friday. This is a full time, hourly position at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church. The Soup Kitchen opens at 6:00am to begin preparation for making fresh kettles of soup from recipes to feed over 300 visitors who are hungry in the downtown Fort Wayne area each day. Distribution of hot soup begins at 10:00am daily. Applicant must have at least 5 years of cooking experience, supervision skills, knowledge of ordering food, and attention to detail and follow rules of the Board of Health. Kitchen experience and ability to lift, bend, and put away deliveries is necessary.
