What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher position at St Mary Magdalene?
St Mary Magdalene Church, home of the IF Learning Camp For Kids, a private academic enrichment program in the city of Orange, is seeking two Lead Teachers for 4-9 year olds.
We are looking for independent, highly energetic, nurturing, creative individuals with hands-on experience and/or academic knowledge in early childhood development. The dress code is casual conservative. You will be required to: uphold the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school, and the Director; and insure the health and safety of the children. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement time-constrained group projects that promote structure and skill development.
- Assist in providing a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing.
- Interact with the children to encourage them to grow and explore their independently and in a group setting.
- To establish and maintain good communications with other teachers and parents.
- To observe, report and solve significant individual detrimental behaviors.
- To help the children control behavior using a positive, appropriate approach; using the established consistent techniques.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
