St. Mary/Vermilion Community Action Agency/Head Start Program is seeking qualified individuals for the following position:
Accounting/Payroll Clerk
All applicants must possess at a minimum:
High School Graduate
Associate or Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or payroll experience will substitute for degree.
Must be a team player and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Duties:
Compile payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records. Enter data into accounting software program. Process payroll files and employee time sheets, run, check, edit, and calculate payroll. Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Prepares and issues paychecks. Prepare reports for accounting, management, and auditing purposes. Filing, process bank deposits when needed. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Other duties as assigned by CFO and/or CEO.
