Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Detailer to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at our dealership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vehicle care, excellent customer service skills, and experience in detailing and cleaning. This role involves performing thorough cleaning, buffing, and finishing touches to ensure each vehicle meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Previous janitorial or custodial experience, along with driving skills, are highly valued. The Automotive Detailer plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering spotless, well-maintained vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform exterior washes including car washes, hand washing, and drying to ensure vehicles are spotless.
- Conduct interior cleaning such as vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and shampooing carpets as needed.
- Carry out detailing tasks including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to enhance vehicle appearance.
- Use specialized tools and products for window tinting, polishing, and other finishing techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks related to vehicle presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and courteously.
Requirements
- Prior experience in car wash, detailing, or custodial work is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for moving vehicles as needed.
- Experience with buffing, window tinting, or janitorial duties is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
