Recreation Activities Director Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents
• Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs
• Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis
• Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions
• Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary
• Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes
  
  
  

Recreation Activities Director Qualifications:

• Must hold a CTRS or ADC certification
• Bachelors Degree from an approved school in Recreational Therapy or a related field
• Must be a qualified recreation therapy specialist with three years' experience in a healthcare setting
