What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Staff position at St. Mark School?
St. Mark School is looking for caring, responsible individuals to join our After-School Program team. The program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students after dismissal, reinforcing the values taught during the school day.
Position Details:
Hours: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday when school is in session
Early Dismissal Days: Extended hours from 11:30 AM – 6:00 PM (if available)
Schedule: 2–5 days per week
Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students
Supporting a program that keeps children safe and active from dismissal to pick-up
Providing homework assistance
Verifying that children are properly supervised at all times
Handling discipline matters appropriately as they arise
Administering basic first aid if injuries occur
Communicating any concerns or issues about a child to the Program Director
Supporting the school and the Diocese of Bridgeport in its mission.
Employees are engaged in a school conducted by the Roman Catholic Church for the express purpose of education in the academic, social, moral and religious values promulgated by the Church.
