Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Linen Technician you will have the opportunity to make a difference in many lives with a kind word and friendly smile as you serve our patients and team members. You will be a member of a unified, caring team where everyone makes a difference. Join us in our efforts to better our community! In this role:

• You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing clean, processed linen to ensure a safe environment.
• You will weigh and record the weight of all clean linen the facility receives from commercial laundry.
• You will complete the necessary data entry for proper documentation of linen processed/received.
• You will set up all linen exchange or replenishment of carts as needed or scheduled.
• You will assist with calls for emergencies pertaining to linen problems.
• You will examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and send torn linen to the seamstress to repair.
• You will make recommendations to the Director of Housekeeping for changes in linen or procedures to improve safety and patient care or to reduce costs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Environmental Service experience preferred.
• Previous Linen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
