St. Luke’s Home includes an 88-bed long-term, skilled nursing facility where residents receive 24-hour skilled nursing care; IV therapy; wound care and post-surgical care; respite care; nutritional therapy; and peritoneal dialysis. The geriatric psychiatric unit houses up to 20 residents.

This ad is for two part-time evening shift positions, working from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (with potential to work day shifts on weekends, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) for 12 to 20 hours per week. Rotating weekend and holiday work required. Retention bonus available to qualified new employees.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing food service to residents, guests, and employees under sanitary conditions as directed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assisting in all dietary functions that enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of residents.
- Specific duties include high quality service, transporting food and items by cart, organizing and setting up resident meals, assisting residents, and washing dishes.
Requirements include:
- Capability to reliably commute to facility for each scheduled shift.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents and teammates.

Education
Must be at least 16 years of age and able to follow written and verbal direction.
Experience
Previous experience working as Dietary Aide in a healthcare setting preferred, but no experience necessary. Facility will provide training.
Specific Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously, independently, and have the flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, teammates, and support agencies.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Salary : $18 - $24
