This role involves caring for children of various ages, including infants and elementary children, and supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and positive interactions. Together, we’re nurturing a space for kids to feel whole, safe, and seen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Engage in age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times for infants and toddlers.
  • Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior among children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children to play and learn.
  • Support special education needs as required, adapting activities to meet individual children's requirements.
  • Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a cohesive approach to care and education.

Experience

  • Previous experience in childcare settings such as babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with infant care practices and toddler development is essential.
  • Experience in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively are crucial for success in this role.
