Position Summary:
The Director of Quality, Patient Safety, and Regulatory provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of system-wide initiatives that promote a culture of safety, high reliability, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance. This role is integral to advancing St. Luke’s commitment to Clinical Brilliance, supporting initiatives that drive performance toward CMS 5-Star ratings, Leapfrog goals, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.The Director collaborates closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments to ensure evidence-based practice, accreditation readiness, and alignment with federal and state regulations. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s degree required (MSN, MHA, MPH, MBA, or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare quality and regulatory leadership experience, with demonstrated knowledge of CMS, TJC, and state-level compliance requirements. Experience in leading high-performing teams, conducting RCAs, managing accreditation surveys, and implementing system-wide initiatives.
Licensure: Achievement of Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional In-Patient Safety (CPPS) is required within six (6) months of hire as a condition of continued employment, reflecting commitment to excellence in quality and patient safety leadership.
