What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital?
Position Summary: Collects blood specimens, according to physician orders, from in patients and outpatients and delivers the specimens to the laboratory for analysis. Performs a variety of duties, which include, filing laboratory results and computer order entry.
Education/Training: High School graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of phlebotomy program through an accredited phlebotomy program required. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferred; computer experience preferred
Licensure, Registration or Certification: ASCP preferred
