What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Lead Teacher position at St. Luke Preschool?
St. Luke Preschool, a faith based, Five Star, NAEYC accredited early learning center is hiring an experienced Lead Teacher for our Intermediate Multi-Age class of three year olds. We are seeking a creative, nurturing, and fun loving Lead Teacher who is passionate about working with young children and their families. The hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am -3:00 pm for the 2026-2027 school year, which will begin in August.
Responsibilities include working as a member of a team to care for, love, and nurture children; lesson planning and implementing a social/emotional play-based curriculum; communicating with parents; weekly family newsletter; assessment of children's progress; conducting parent/teacher conferences; creating a joyful and engaging learning environment; and more.
Applicants must have completed the 45 Hour Early Childhood entry level class. In addition, applicants must have at least a Child Development Certificate, or higher in the field of Early Childhood Education and be willing to work toward an AA in early childhood education, if not already accomplished.
Hourly wage is based on years of experience and education level.
