Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Stationary Engineer at ST. LOUISE REGIONAL HOSPITAL in Gilroy, CA. The Stationary Engineer will oversee the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of the hospital's mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Responsibilities involve monitoring and managing plant equipment, ensuring efficient steam, water treatment, and other utility operations, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure safe and continuous facility operation. The role may also require coordinating with vendors and adhering to applicable codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Maintenance & Repair, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
- Experience in Plant Operations and managing facility infrastructure to maintain compliance and efficiency
- Knowledge of Steam systems and operations, with attention to safety and proper handling
- Proficiency in Water Treatment processes and equipment to ensure effective system functioning
- Practical experience in Preventive Maintenance, ensuring equipment and systems operate reliably and efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Relevant certifications or licensing in stationary engineering are a plus
