What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended Day staff position at St. Louis School?
Saint Louis Catholic School, located in Alexandria, VA, is seeking enthusiastic persons to join our extended day team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time position, with flexible hours: Monday-Friday 3 p.m. up to 6 p.m. School half-days hours 11:30 a.m. up to 4 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates Christian caring in relationships with children and families;
- Maintains a safe, clean, and healthy environment;
- Provides close supervision of children in active play through appropriate positioning and monitoring of designated areas;
- Adheres to a daily schedule that balances active and quiet times, free and structured times, indoor and outdoor activities;
- Complies with Diocesan and Local Program Policies;
- Implements regulations applicable to the program, including fire, health & emergency;
- Expresses respect for all children: smiles and laughs with the children
Requirements:
1. fingerprints, and background checks;
2. high school diploma/GED.
