The Department of Revenue is seeking an Office Services Coordinator for the Recorder of Deeds. This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex administrative and clerical duties. Key responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and analyzing production documents; monitoring work output; and documenting initial performance issues. The role provides guidance, direction, and training to staff while reviewing work for accuracy and compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures.
Additional duties include gathering and verifying data, identifying and resolving complex issues, preparing production reports, and performing mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy. The position may also respond to complex inquiries from the public, manage independent assignments, and perform other related tasks as needed to maintain effective departmental operations.
The typical starting salary range is $18.07 - $21.68 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. Essential Function Examples
- Perform complex administrative and clerical tasks related to the operation of a defined unit or division and the final production of work.
- Analyze individual problems and take appropriate action to provide resolutions.

- Respond to complex or unusual questions from the general public in person, by telephone, or by mail in matters as mandated by individual County Department concerns in order to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- May have independent assignments not associated with other's work.

- At least four years of work experience in a general office environment
- Preference may be given to applicants who have performance management experience
- The work rules for the Department of Revenue require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real estate property taxes
The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3 days to complete the required questionnaire.
The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who will make the final decision.
All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be covered by the County.
