What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Clerk- Monday-Friday 4pm-12am (Evening Shift) $18.00 per hour position at St. Leonard's Ministries?
The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for the daily operation of Saint Andrew’s Court providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the front office area. The Front Desk Clerk will respond to incoming calls, walk-ins (visitors and tenants) and various administrative task. Front Desk Clerks are responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting tenants with questions and concerns, and maintaining a clean, organized front desk office area.The Front Desk Clerk ensures the safety and security of St. Andrew’s Court and tenants at the entry point of building.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Greet tenants and visitors with a pleasant demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
2. Monitor traffic through lobby and ensure all guest check in/out and show proper identification adherent to building policies and procedures.
3. Accept, sort and distribute all letters and packages to the appropriate persons.
4. Place maintenance orders and notify maintenance department or Site Administrator regarding pending work orders.
5. Report any hazardous conditions or emergency situations to the Site Administrator, follow appropriate safety precautions/notification procedures and make related entries in the SAC Front Desk Log.
6. Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required by Site Administrator or Chief Program Director.
7. Responsible for continuous monitoring of activity in front entrance, lobby and day room; record any unusual occurrences in the SAC Front Desk Log. When necessary coordinate with Site Administrator to resolve tenants or guest concerns.
8. Participates in building and room compliance checks
9. Trains newly hired SAC staff for front desk duties as needed
10. Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and at least two 1 year of administrative office experience, security or concierge required. Associates Degree preferred.
