What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Plow Operator position at St Laurent Property Maintenance?
We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Snow Plow Operator who could transition into a Crew Leader role
for mowing and weekly landscape maintenance once winter ends. This is a year-round position for the right candidate.
During the winter season, you will safely operate plow trucks and heavy equipment during all snow and ice events. Once the weather warms you can optionally, upon a seasonal review, lead a landscaping crew, manage daily routes, ensure quality service, and oversee property maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate plow trucks and snow equipment safely and efficiently during all snow and ice events.
- Clear commercial lots, roadways, and driveways according to contract standards.
- Apply salt and sand as needed.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and site supervisors.
- Perform pre- and post-shift inspections on all equipment.
- Respond to all storms with a 2-inch trigger; must be available on call 24/7, regardless of time of day.
- Work long, irregular hours from the start to the end of each storm.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial snow plowing experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- NH DOT medical card (or ability to obtain).
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long storm durations.
Compensation
- $30-35/hour
- Paid weekly.
