SUMMARY:
The Mechanic is responsible for investigating and resolving issues with various motor vehicles and heavy-duty equipment, including tractors and bushhogs. This role ensures that all necessary repairs are completed accordingly to maintain operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
- Perform basic care and maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Provide routine inspections of vehicles
- Repair or replace worn parts
- Keeping the Fleet Department head abreast of any major fleet issues
- Keep an accurate log of all work performed
- Any other duties assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience conducting routine services and vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Demonstrated experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs
- Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prepare work estimates and quotes
- Sound problem-solving skills
- Completion of an apprenticeship is advantageous
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
