Job Summary
This position will work closely with our Admissions, Advancement, Communications, and Event Planning Departments to promote our school in the community and to publicize school events. Will be responsible for graphic design (flyers, logos, print materials), creation of videos, photography, and social media content. Will create and update website content as needed.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Use graphic design software to create flyers, logos, posters and social media posts to promote school events. Create communication/marketing templates that support the overall theme of the initiative or event.
- Manage the school’s social media presence to include proactively seeking, creating and publishing meaningful and engaging content on a daily basis. Collect and share images and videos that tell a compelling story about our school’s mission and brand.
- Photograph and/or record school events and day-to-day campus life.
- Work with vendors to plan, create and edit videos for use at fundraising or admissions-related events.
- Oversee the design and printing of written marketing and informational materials including admissions materials and annual reports.
- Assist the Community Events Coordinator, Advancement Director, Admissions Director and PTO in organizing and deploying all aspects of school events to include fundraising events, community-building events and events focused on increasing admissions.
- Assist in performing duties related to events (event sign ups, volunteer sign ups, event marketing, all activities needed on the day of the event).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a communications or marketing role required.
- Proficiency with social media platforms.
- Photography and video creation/editing experience helpful.
- Experience with graphic design software, including Canva or similar programs.
- Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Mail/Calendar/Docs.
- Event planning and/or fundraising experience helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal communication and written communication skills with a history of working collaboratively with others.
- Strong project management skills. Detail-orientation and strong organizational skills.
- Time management skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Work with minimal supervision and direction while still being a part of a team.
- Demonstrate a customer-focused approach.
Position Status
- Position is an hourly, full-time, benefit-eligible position. This is an 11-month position with no hours worked/no pay in July of each year.
- Work hours during the second half of June and the first half of August may be shortened based on the needs of the school each summer.
- Must be available to attend events in the evenings and weekends, as needed.
Work Hours
- Hours are 7:10 am – 3:10 pm, Monday – Friday.
- May be required to work some nights and weekends in order to work at events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 per hour
