Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinical Engineering Tech, you will help the medical center staff maintain and repair critical equipment so they can provide excellent patient care without interruption.
Every day you will test, calibrate, trouble-shoot, repair and modify clinically applied instrumentation components and systems and other electronic equipment. You will be expected to report to the Chief Technician or Lead Technician for supervision, fully understand and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization, demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values, and support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
To be successful in this role, you must have the technical skills to test, calibrate, trouble-shoot, repair, and modify complex clinical instrumentation and electronic equipment, and be committed to the organization's mission and core values.
- Ensures maintenance, operation and repair responsibilities meet department quality expectations.
- Ensures the quantity of maintenance, operation and repair responsibilities meet department expectations.
- Maintains skills, knowledge of position by keeping up with new technological advances.
- Exercises good judgment and decision making as a Biomedical Technician.
- Utilizes time productively.
- Adheres to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Required:
- High School graduate with military technical schooling or two (2) years of college with major in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics or equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience as a Biomedical Technician
