St Joseph Village is immediately hiring Floor Technicians in our Housekeeping Dept. Full Time: Typically 7:00 am - 4:00 pm some week nights and weekend availability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workersMaintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors of PC&SUse proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areasAssist with set-up and clean-up of events/activitiesDust, clean and sanitize resident rooms, as i.e., deep cleaning and daily clean schedules)Clean and sanitize public restroomsClean nurses stationInventory supply cart and restock on a daily basisMaintain clean housekeeping closet at all timesReport repair needs to SupervisorWork with other staff on major projectsWork in Laundry as neededMake rooms ready for admissionsMinor repairs (changing light bulbs, etc.) if applicable Assist Laundry Techs and Floor Techs as needed being able to work all three areasPull trash as neededAssist other Departments as neededOther duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalentHousekeeping experience, domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)Floor Technician experience, all forms of floor care - domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.Ability to follow instructions and work as a team playerGood communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize tasks and know when to ask supervisor for assistanceWillingness to climb ladders and perform other duties that require heightsAbility to adapt to changes in procedures, as improvements are madeKnowledge of household tools, floor care and other related equipment Ability to perform Essential Duties Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and persons with disabilities Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand RequirementsAbility to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee ResponsibilitiesAbility to comply with site and departmental safety policies and procedures Additional InformationFull Time: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm some week nights and weekend availability.
