What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplemental Reading Teacher - 2026-2027 position at St. Joseph School District?
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To "telework' when requested by the District.
- Plan and administer the special reading program.
- Interpret student needs and progress in reading to the classroom teacher and the parents.
- Confer with parents concerning individual students experiencing special reading problems or those required special remedial help. Meet with any parents requesting such conference.
- Maintain the documentation necessary to comply with state and federal guidelines
- Other assigned duties.

Qualifications:
Required: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree with a valid Missouri teaching certificate. Must be certified in Special Reading (Remedial).
Preferred: Five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
FLSA: Exempt
Salary Schedule: Per-Approved Teacher Salary Schedule
Direct Report: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 9 month
Eligible for emergency telework: With Supervisor Approval
Purpose: To help provide the kind reading instruction and learning environment that will enable each student in the district to master the reading skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual capacity.
