Job Description
Assess the nutritional needs of patients; provide quality nutritional care and monitor response to nutrition therapy as appropriate to the age of the population served (i.e. child, adolescent, adult and geriatric)
Qualifications
Work requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science or closely related field and up to 1 yr of post degree course work and/or internship & no previous experience, 3-6 months of on job training/orientation. Registered Dietitian license or Registered Dietitian-Eligible (RDE) required. RDE must pass registration exam within 6 months of hire. Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs. Work requires the ability to counsel and educate patients and their families, assign and follow up on the work of other employees, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
