Job Description
Provides a variety of complex administrative functions and floating to other areas of the Outpatient Oncology Departments as needed. Is responsible for Revenue Cycle and Patient Access functions including but not limited to; registration, account processing, insurance verification, patient check in, patient check out, and authorizations. Schedules patients according to department policy. Manages electronic documentation and digital filing within the EMR system. Types and updates records as necessary. Orders supplies and other items as needed. Is a good critical thinker and can make independent judgments regarding administrative issues. Serves as a resource for internal and external customers.
Qualifications
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two to three years of previous work related experience. Proficiency in MS Office required: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint. Bilingual preferred. Work requires communication skills needed to frequently answer telephone calls and work with multiple interruptions and still sustain positive communication

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
