St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers
Location: Recovery Campus – Massena, NY
Positions available: Full-time Clinical Aides
Shifts/schedules available:
- Sunday-Thursday / 11:00p-7:00a
- Monday-Friday / 8:00a-4:30p
- Thursday / 3:00p-11:00p and Friday-Monday / 11:00p-7:00a
Pay Range: $16.00/hr to $22.00/hr
Position Summary: The clinical aide works under the supervision of the Program Director/Designee in assisting residents to become accustomed to the residence routine and encourages them to participate in social and recreational activities to promote recovery.
Education and Training: High School Graduate or equivalency.
Qualifications and Requirements: Experience training with working effectively with chemically dependent individuals.
Essential Duties:
- Welcomes and Orients New Residents – Introduces new residents to the facility, local community, and available resources.
- Supports Substance-Free Community Living – Assists residents in adjusting to their new environment while maintaining sobriety.
- Monitors the facility– complete rounds of the facility between the hours of 11pm and 7am to ensure the safety of residents and staff. Checking on residents per facility policy. Oversees family interactions and provides support to residents as needed.
- Documents Resident Progress – documentation per facility policy. Prepares written observational reports on residents' attitudes, behaviors, and significant events that may have happened during the shift.
- Collaborates with Case Management – Meets biweekly with the case manager to discuss new arrivals, resident progress, and house updates.
- Ensures Quality of Services – Performs additional duties as required by the program director to maintain high-quality resident care.
- Trains New Residence Aides – May be responsible for onboarding and training new staff members.
- Conducts Resident Admissions – will complete new admission inventory of belongings, ensure that they are set up in electronic health records for groups.
- Make sure that snakes are available- set up snacks in residents dining room, stocking breakfast items for residents, unlock kitchen by 5am, assisting residents early in the morning if they need items from pantry.
- Maintains Driving Requirements – Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license and be eligible for insurance coverage.
- Supervises and Documents Urine Drug Screens (UDS) – Ensures compliance with drug screening policies and procedures and maintains proper documentation.
- Uploading documents to electronic health record- scanning various documents to resident’s electronic record to the correct area.
- Schedule Medical Transports- place appointments in resident transportation calendar, setting up rides with MAS, printing appointment slips for resident
- Performs Additional Duties as Assigned – Completes other tasks as necessary to support residents and the facility.
