What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Resident RN position at St Joseph Hospital & Medical Center?
As our RN Resident (New Grad) at Dignity Health SJHMC now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll make the transition from practicing procedures as a student to becoming a professional nurse. You’ll build trust with your clinical preceptor and patients as you practice classroom concepts in real-time. Our residency program establishes your position as a reliable resource and helpful supporter of patients and families.

- You’re in patient rooms, quickly rotating between immediate needs and check-ins to provide patient care while being monitored by your preceptor
- Open to learning more about the business and operational practices in our facility
- Develop patient advocate skills through observance and practice
- Build your nursing skills as you learn to put your education into practice with actual patients

Job Requirements
Minimum
- Completion of board approved nursing program.
- AZ or Compact RN License- you must have a current RN license the week prior to program start date
- Current Healthcare Provider AHA BLS completion card.
- BSN program completion preferred.
- Nurse extern I program completion.
- Letter of recommendation from nursing program clinical instructor.
