Position Summary: The Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher with Director Responsibilities plays a dual role in our early childhood program: leading instruction in the Pre-K classroom while also overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and staff support of the Pre-K program. This position is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who is ready to step into a leadership role while maintaining hands-on classroom teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, faith-based instruction for 3–5-year-old children

Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that reflects Catholic values and high-quality early learning practices

Ensure daily operations of the Pre-K program are compliant with state licensing requirements and Paths to QUALITY™ standards

Monitor and support classroom staff performance through regular coaching, observations, and feedback

Maintain accurate records for student attendance, developmental assessments, and regulatory documentation

Serve as the point of contact for licensing visits, CACFP monitoring, and quality assurance audits

Collaborate with school leadership to promote family engagement, continuous improvement, and spiritual formation of the children

Support and mentor assistant teachers and paraprofessionals working within the Pre-K setting
Minimum Qualifications: Holding a Child Development Associate (CDA).

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field, or minimum required Child Development Associate (CDA).

Preferred at least three years of experience in an early childhood classroom, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Meets Indiana Director qualifications for licensed child care ministries

Preferred Strong knowledge of Indiana Early Learning Foundations and Paths to QUALITY™ framework

Practicing Catholic preferred but not required, must demonstrate commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

CPR/First Aid certification issued within the last year

Familiarity with Conscious Discipline or other positive behavior support systems

Experience with staff evaluation and regulatory compliance
