JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description The Dishwasher assists the Food &
Nutrition Services Supervisor (FNSS) to assure lunch services rendered
at St. Joseph Academy (SJA) are extended consistent with accepted
national food handling standards, SJA mission and values, the policies
and procedures of the institution, and the standards of all regulating
and licensing agencies. The FSA performs a variety of food preparation
services in the delivery of the SJA children\'s lunch service. The FSA
washes lunch dishes as well as sets up The FSA assists in the
preparation of food for children, assists with effective equipment
operations, sanitization; facility cleaning, and trouble shoots in
production area to alert management of equipment malfunctions and/or
failures. The FSA will fill in for vacation and absences of other Food
Service staff. Position Reports to: Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor
Qualifications: High school education or similar training/experience
Experience In Food Service Preparation Preferred Bilingual In Spanish
preferred Safe Serve certification required Demonstrated ability to
analyze an issue, identify options, and implement solutions Interest in
working with a child population Ability to work cooperatively with
people in and outside of Food & Nutrition Services department Ability to
communicate (verbally and in writing); effectively interact with
children, families, and staff members Possesses good hand-eye
coordination Ability to read, write and follow directions and
instructions Detail oriented; ability to multi-task, set priorities,
work under pressure, and meet deadlines Equipment Used: Food Service
Equipment Physical and Mental Requirements: Must have ability to walk
and stand routinely throughout the shift. Must have the ability to
occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with ease and push up to 350 lbs. with
the appropriate equipment. Must have the ability to deal effectively
with the stress of responding quickly and be engaged in multiple tasks.
Environmental Conditions: Performs duties with exposure to infectious or
communicable diseases inherent to care of children and occasional
exposure to loud or unpleasant voices due to unpredictable behavior of
residents and seasonal exposure to high humidity due to temperature
control of the facility. Exposure to varying types of ware chemicals,
cleaning agents and various types of food service areas that contain
