Role Description
This is a part time, on-site role for an Assistant Track and Field Coach based in Baton Rouge, LA. The Assistant Track and Field Coach will support the Head Coach in planning and conducting training sessions, preparing athletes for competitions, and fostering skill development. The role includes enhancing team performance, maintaining a positive team culture, and ensuring students’ safety during practices and events. Additional responsibilities include effective communication with athletes, parents, and school staff, as well as adherence to institutional values and policies.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Track and Field techniques and Athletic Training
- Strong Coaching and Training skills to foster athlete development
- Effective Communication skills for collaboration with athletes, parents, and staff
- Ability to create a positive and motivating team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is a plus
