What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Kindergarten position at ST JOHNSBURY SCHOOL?
The St. Johnsbury School District is located 2 minutes from Exit 21 on I-91. We have approximately 550 students in PreK through 8th grade in our school. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Kindergarten. This opening will begin August 19, 2026 and go to December 22, 2026 (approximately 85 days). We have a strong team that includes special educators as well as behavior and academic support.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and knowledge of primary grade student skills. We use Responsive Classroom in grades K-5 with a focus on restorative practices. Our second step is our SEL program. Familiarity with these programs will be beneficial.
This is a licensed teaching position. Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Pay will be dependent on educational level and years of experience in the classroom.
