What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator for High School position at St. Johnsbury School District?
The St. Johnsbury School is seeking a paraeducator to work with a student attending The St. Johnsbury Academy.
The successful candidate will have experience working with and building relationships with students. A willingness to work on teams of professionals and with other paraeducators and the ability to follow behavior and academic plans is important. Assisting the student with staying focused and moving in a positive direction both with academics and social and emotional situational relationships.
Paraeducators must have at minimum of an Associate's Degree, 48 hours of undergraduate credits, or have passed the ParaPro test or an equivalent basic skills assessment. An assessment must be completed prior to starting work if you do not have a degree or 48 credits and can be scheduled with the St. Johnsbury School District. The pay is based on experience working with children and educational level. Entry level qualification pay is $18.61 per hour. An Associates Degree and first year is $20.30 an hour.
