Position Overview
Saint Johnsbury Dental Associates is seeking an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Director of
Operations (Integrator) to oversee the daily business operations and help align the team around our
mission and growth objectives. This leadership role ensures that the administrative, clinical, and financial
functions of the practice run seamlessly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all non-clinical operations of the dental practice, ensuring efficient workflows and
high-quality patient experiences.
- Partner closely with the Owner/Clinical Director to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
- Implement and optimize systems, processes, and standard operating procedures to improve
efficiency and scalability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the administrative team to deliver exceptional service and
performance.
- Promote a collaborative and accountable culture across all departments.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide mentorship, and identify opportunities for
professional growth.
Financial & Business Management
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, and revenue tracking.
- Manage end-of-day reporting, cash flow, and financial data accuracy.
- Collaborate on strategic planning and KPI development to measure and enhance practice
performance.
Patient Experience & Communication
- Ensure a warm, professional, and patient-centered environment at every touchpoint.
- Oversee patient scheduling, billing, and insurance processes to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
- Handle escalated patient concerns with empathy and efficiency.
Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with dental, HIPAA, and safety
regulations.
- Oversee technology and software tools, ensuring staff are trained and systems are optimized.
- Manage inventory, office supplies, and vendor relationships.
Strategic Integration
- Serve as the key operational liaison between the leadership team and staff, ensuring alignment
on priorities, progress, and performance.
- Drive initiatives that support growth, efficiency, and cultural cohesion.
- Lead regular leadership and department meetings to maintain clarity and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, business, or operations management.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a management or operational leadership role (dental or medical setting
preferred).
- Proven ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and manage complex workflows.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in dental or medical practice management software (or a willingness to learn quickly).
- Highly organized, results driven.
