Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the ministry’s mission, including annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, and special events.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, alumni, volunteers, and community stakeholders through personalized engagement and regular communication.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage fundraising events that inspire participation and maximize contributions while promoting the ministry’s vision.
- Write compelling grant proposals and manage grant application processes to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge to track donor interactions, analyze giving trends, and generate reports for strategic planning.
- Implement digital marketing campaigns using email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact to increase awareness and solicit support across social media channels.
- Manage all aspects of database management including data collection, segmentation, and analysis to optimize outreach efforts.
- Oversee budgeting for development activities ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact.
- Coordinate volunteer management efforts to support fundraising events and outreach initiatives effectively.
- Develop proposals for estate planning opportunities such as wills, trusts, and estate law to encourage legacy giving from supporters invested in long-term sustainability.
Experience
- Proven success in nonprofit development or fundraising roles with a focus on higher education or faith-based organizations.
- Extensive experience in event planning, event management, and volunteer coordination.
- Strong background in digital marketing tools including WordPress websites, social media management platforms, Mailchimp or similar email marketing software.
- Demonstrated ability in proposal writing, grant proposal development, and securing grants from diverse sources.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge for data collection and relationship management.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes along with experience in estate planning legal concepts like wills, trusts & estate law is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strategic planning capabilities to foster partnerships that advance organizational goals.
