Classroom Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team. The Classroom Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience with grade school students in a Catholic school setting, skills in classroom management, differentiation, intervention methods, creation of a faith-filled and respectful learning environment, and curriculum knowledge. Mentoring students to reach their full potential will be a key aspect of this role.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote a positive classroom atmosphere
- Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in classroom management and behavior strategies
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Knowledge of various teaching methodologies, including Montessori principles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for students with diverse needs
- Passion for mentoring and guiding students toward academic growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching certification/license as required by state regulations
- Previous experience teaching preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively ina team atmosphere
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
