Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Finance Assistant to support the daily operations of our parish community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger activities, insurance, and payroll functions related to the day-to-day business operations.
2. Provide monthly income statements, balance sheets, and other financial information with appropriate supporting documentation to the finance council, parish council and school council.
3. Assist the finance council and school council with the preparation of the annual budget, obtaining line-item detail from appropriate personnel.
4. Prepare the parish annual report for the diocese.
5. Maintain the accounting for all investments and special funds, to include scholarship funds, and diocese investments.Maintain open dialog/consultation with the pastor regarding cash flow, parish and staff questions and concerns.
6.Answer phone and help visitors as needed.

4. Be available for evening and weekend work as necessary; has reliable transportation.
5. 2-5 years of related Office/Bookkeeper experience preferred.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
