What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hemodialysis Bio Medical Technician - Per Diem position at St. John's Riverside Hospital?
Under the direction of the Biomedical Coordinator, the Hemodialysis Bio Medical Technician performs preventative maintenance, repairs of biomedical equipment and related tasks necessary to ensure proper records and documentation. Incumbent is guided by a thorough knowledge of; biomedical engineering principles, methods, techniques, procedures, applicable codes and regulations and the operation and use of departmental equipment and supplies, as well as a knowledge of sound principles of biomedical engineering. The Hemodialysis Bio Medical Technician is responsible for overseeing the overall operational condition, maintenance, and repair of all water treatment equipment, all medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems to ensure patient safety and the safety of all staff operating such equipment.
Requirements
- College graduate with a minimum of two-year associate degree in electronics or biomedical technology preferred.
- Current portable RO certification.
- Annual water validation certification.
- Braum dialysis machine certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Bio Medical hemodialysis technician.
- Experience working with B.Braum machines and Evoqua RO systems preferred.
- One year's experience in field in a hospital surrounding.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of hospital personnel, patients, physicians and outside contacts.
Salary : $37 - $40
