St. John’s Parish Day School, an Episcopal school serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 5, is seeking Early Childhood Assistant Teachers beginning August 2026.
Our Early Childhood program is rooted in whole child education and celebrates childhood through play based, hands-on learning experiences that support social emotional growth alongside academic readiness. Our classrooms are grounded in a Responsive Classroom approach, fostering strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and a positive learning environment.
We are seeking warm, nurturing educators who value relationships, collaboration, and joyful learning. Both part time and full-time opportunities are available, ranging from 2 to 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
- Work with students individually and in small groups
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the needs of students and the classroom community
- Assist with classroom routines, supervision, and organization
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Warm, flexible, and team oriented approach
Salary Range
$15,000 to $30,000 depending on schedule, experience, and qualifications.
