St. John’s Community Care (SJCC), an outreach ministry of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Collinsville, IL is seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to guide this growing organization into its next chapter. With established programs in Collinsville and Edwardsville—and exciting expansion plans underway—SJCC supports hundreds of families through:
• Adult day services
• Caregiver education and resources
• A medical equipment loan program
• Additional supportive community services
About the Opportunity
SJCC is searching for a dynamic, growth-oriented leader who is energized by mission, collaboration, and community impact. The ideal candidate will embrace working in a faith-based environment, bringing both business savvy and a heart for service.
The Executive Director will lead a dedicated team, build strong community partnerships, expand programs, steward financial sustainability, and serve as the public face of the organization.
Key Qualifications
• Proven experience in older adult services or related human services programs
• Demonstrated nonprofit leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong skills in team building, public speaking, community outreach, fundraising, and grant writing
• Bachelor’s degree in health or human services, social work, gerontology, nonprofit management, or a related field
– Equivalent experience considered, including five years managing programs serving older adults, people with disabilities, or other human service populations
• Business acumen required; business education or experience preferred
• Master’s degree strongly preferred
Compensation
$85,000–$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
